Enable Dummy Trade Partner (Dummy TP)

When the shipment is transmitted to the GoFreight system by Agent EDI, the system automatically performs Trade Partner matching based on incoming data such as shipper, consignee, and notify party.

The system compares incoming Trade Partner names against existing records in the Trade Partner list. If an exact match is found, it will automatically link to the corresponding Trade Partner.

Dummy Trade Partner Creation

When no match is found, the system will automatically create a Dummy Trade Partner (Dummy TP) in the system.

Dummy Trade Partner Handling

A Dummy Trade Partner will remain in the EDI History and require mapping until one of the following actions is taken:

1. Mapped to an Existing Trade Partner

Link the Dummy TP to the correct existing Trade Partner via the mapping function.

To map to an existing Trade Partner:

• Re-select the desired Trade Partner.
• Click Apply.

2. Converted into a New Trade Partner

Confirm and save it as a new official Trade Partner record.

To create a new Trade Partner:

• Click on the dummy Trade Partner name (newly created record).
• Navigate to Tools and select Create Normal TP.
• Ensure all required and relevant fields are completed.
• Click Save.
